TAKE A DETOUR

Detour is change

Detour is a change of direction. In life there are a lot of roads we can find ourselves on. Detour wants to help you choose the right roads by putting up signs to keep you safe and steer you from the wrong roads of life. Those roads can destroy lives and cause regrets. Detour wants to point you to the road that saves lives, a road that will help answer all of life’s questions. It’s a road that will make your life complete and not leave you feeling empty; That road is Jesus Christ, your greatest friend. Detour is the student ministry of Scotts Hill Baptist Church and we want to point you to God.

Detour is an experience

Detour is a place for teens to escape to. A place for you to get away from the grind of life, the monotony of the day, and the stress of the moment. Detour wants you to experience a place that was designed just for you. Hundreds of students gather every Wednesday night in your 30,000 square foot facility. In it you will certainly find something to keep you occupied. Whether it’s battling it out in the 3 on 3 hardwood caged basketball arena, or gaming on PS3’s and Xbox 360's. You might find yourself in the pool hall or grabbing some grub in our Detour Café. If you are in the mood to lay low and just chill-out you will love “The Spot” set up to listen in on some Ipods, maybe play a little Rock Band or just sit back and watch it all happen.  For those who want to "stick around," you'll love our high flying velcro wall!

Detour is Service

This is why we do what we do. We want the best for you. Come and immerse yourself for an hour in a service unlike anything you have experienced before. From the opening second to the closing minute, it will be an experience you won’t regret. Cool videos, live music, and a message that will be sure to help. All done by students just like you.

Detour is everyone

If you happen to be lucky enough to be in 7th – 12th grade, have skin on your back and are a male or female, then you’re in. If religion ain’t your thing, no problem. We’re not about religion but rather a relationship. You’re unique and special for a reason and we just want to help you find your reason for living. So hang out with us and “if it’s your first time”, check in at the welcome center and have a meal on us. That’s worth the effort!
